Position Summary:
The Senior Manager, Integrated Marketing and Fundraising will be responsible for developing and executing a fully integrated marketing plan to create a strong and unified corporate fundraising brand that stands out from the competition and supports a five (5) year resource development strategy to drive a lifetime financial engagement with PSC. Reporting to the Director, Resource Development, this position will work collaboratively and cross functionally with multiple departments to drive business results. This position will be part of a 12+ staff team in Member Relations department and will work closely with the Director of Corporate Communications to ensure all forms of communications and messages are carefully linked together and aligned with PSC’s strategic objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
MANAGE PSC’S INTEGRATED MARKETING PROGRAM TO SUPPORT STRATEGIC FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES:
• Collaborate with the Resource Development Team and external partners to support marketing aspects of integrated, multi-channel initiatives for acquisition, stewardship and retention of prospects and donors and other stakeholders
• Manage creative production of online and offline marketing assets, graphic design, video production, photography, and web development elements as it relates to fundraising
• Consistently advocate for integrated marketing, community engagement and fundraising programs and solutions for PSC
• Manage relationships with National Event Sponsors
OVERSEE AND SUPPORT THE MARKETING DEVELOPMENT AND EXECUTION OF PSC’S NATIONAL FUNDRAISING EVENTS:
• Develop sponsorship packages, and in partnership with others solicit and steward sponsors for national events including a signature event, Parkinson SuperWalk and the online platform
• Explore new marketing opportunities and identify key markets for recognition
• Ensure provision of Parkinson SuperWalk marketing materials as required for regional use to ensure consistency of branding (i.e., web site, collateral material, media, etc.)
PLANNING AND ANALYSIS:
• Conduct analysis to determine marketing strategies and establish effective targeting and segmentation strategies to maximize revenue
• Establish clear metrics for success to measure marketing effectiveness and optimization opportunities
• Increase understanding of PSC supporter base through robust insight and analytics
• Budgetary responsibility of approximately $500K+:
• Develops an integrated marketing plan and budget, aggregating insights, perspectives and requirements from all respective partners and ensuring these perspectives are reflected appropriately
• Monitors and manages the Parkinson SuperWalk Alberta budget.
• Develops the annual National SuperWalk and presents to the Executive Leadership Team (via ELT SuperWalk Committee) for approval
• Provide timely reports and analysis to support decision making
MANAGE RESOURCES TO SUPPORT INTEGRATED MARKETING PLAN AND FUNDRAISING INITIATIVES:
• Provide direction and oversight of the integrated marketing budget and plan and ensure materials, assets, executional tactics and other deliverables are in alignment with the resource development plan and objectives
• Manage one (1) full-time staff member, and a contract employee, including providing direction, performance feedback, and coaching for skills development
Qualifications:
• Undergraduate degree in a related filed (i.e., marketing, communications)
• CMMP designation is preferred
• Minimum seven (7) years’ marketing experience, with a proven track record and solid writing background
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience managing staff
• Experience in multi-level non-profit organization(s)
• Demonstrated achievements in developing, monitoring and evaluating marketing plans as they relate to fundraising, brand management/stewardship, market research and social media
• Excellent written, verbal, editing, presentation and listening communication skills
• Experience in successfully managing positive internal / external relationships
• Experience managing special events in a not for profit setting
• Excellent organizational and project management skills, including handling multiple, concurrent and diverse tasks with the ability to meet deadlines
• Strong leadership and an ability to motivate and lead others to high levels of performance
• Detailed oriented, rigorous and metrics-driven with the ability to think strategically, and able to influence/build credibility through facts and data as well as relationships
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Flexible and adaptable – able to evolve personal style, techniques and solutions as needed in a fast-paced, dynamic and at times, ambiguous environment; role will require frequent re-prioritization, quick thinking and agility
• High degree of professionalism and integrity
• Dynamic, positive and engaged team builder and player
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, web savvy and familiar with e-communications best practices and event software applications (Blackbaud, Convio experience an asset)
• Bilingualism – (French / English) an asset
• Occasional travel may be required
